On December 4, 2026, we invite you to join us for La Grande Virée Country, an evening event organized by our team of graduating students in Leisure Management and Intervention at Cégep du Vieux Montréal. As part of our “Financing Recreational Activities” course, we decided to take on a project that allows us to put our skills into practice while supporting a cause close to our hearts: children with cancer and their families.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family must learn to live with a difficult reality. Treatments, medical appointments, and worries quickly take over daily life. Behind every child are parents, siblings, and loved ones who are going through this ordeal alongside them. It was with these families in mind that we wanted to organize an event that would allow us to contribute, in our own way, to such an important cause.

All funds raised will be donated to the Charles-Bruneau Foundation. Committed to helping children with cancer, the Foundation supports research and the development of specialized care in pediatric oncology and hematology. Its mission reminds us how important it is to keep making progress so that every child has the best possible chance of recovery.

A Country Night to Come Together and Support the Cause
For one evening, we invite participants to put on their cowboy boots and hats and come enjoy a friendly atmosphere at the Contrecœur Multifunctional Center.

On the program: country music, dancing, recreational activities, and great opportunities to have a good time together.

Behind the organization of La Grande Virée Country lies a great deal of preparation, collaboration, and dedication from our team. This project allows us to put into practice what we learn in our program, to work together toward a common goal, and to discover just how much can be accomplished when we come together for a cause. Knowing that our efforts will help support the Charles-Bruneau Foundation makes this experience all the more meaningful.
