It's October 2024, just over a year and a half after Émy was diagnosed with leukemia. If all goes according to plan, she will complete her chemotherapy treatments in April 2025.
Although it's not always easy, Émy is one of those children whose road to recovery is very promising. This is thanks in no small part to the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, which plays a vital role in funding pediatric cancer research. 30 years ago, Émy would not have had the same chances of recovery, but thanks to the Foundation's sustained efforts, things have changed radically.
However, there is still a great deal of work to be done to overcome all types of cancer and offer every child a complete cure, without after-effects or complications.
Émy understands the vital importance of the Fondation Charles-Bruneau in her life and that of other sick children. She is very proud to have her name associated with the second edition of the Lévis-Rimouski Challenge for Émy, in aid of the Foundation, because she wants to help ensure that all children with cancer can one day be cured.
Émy and her family would like to sincerely thank Christian Lavoie for his exemplary initiative as founder of the Défi Lévis-Rimouski pour Émy.
A huge thank you to Christian, participants, volunteers and donors!
