Vol d’un survivant à l’autre 2024

In the form of a day of seaplane flights departing from Lac Saint-Augustin, the Vol d'un survivant à l'autre event enables some 30 children and their families to fly over beautiful Quebec City under the autumn colors, allowing them to forget, for a few moments, about illness and treatment.

The event was created by Hugo Desrochers, an Air Canada pilot. He himself battled leukemia at the age of 29. "My involvement with young sick children goes beyond my passion for aviation. Not only does it make me aware of the second chance life has given me, but it's also a way for me to give back to the next generation. I continue to believe that hope for a cure comes through research, and I'm proud to contribute."

Since 2018, the event has partnered with the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, an organization whose mission is to provide all children with cancer the best chances of recovery by funding research and supporting the development of projects dedicated to pediatric hemato-oncology. In 2023, the event raised $35,000 for the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, for a total of $121,500 to date.
